The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh.

Location of this cabin filter: Passenger side passenger side footwell. Tools: T-20 Torx wrench.

When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):

Open the passenger side door, and look in the footwell area at the center console.
Remove the retainer securing the center console side fascia panel against the center console.
Remove the side fascia panel.
Now find the rectangular cabin filter cover that was behind the panel you just removed.
Using your T-20 Torx wrench remove the five screws securing the cover and remove the cover.
Remove the dirty cabin filter and install your new cabin air filter.
Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure and it’s done.
